If you’re struggling to figure out how to shoot the symbols in ascending order, this guide will walk you through the exact steps needed to complete this puzzle efficiently.

Step 1: Breaking Aetheric Lanterns in The Tombs

Before you can start shooting symbols, you need to break Aetheric Lanterns in The Tombs until the correct symbols are revealed. These lanterns are:
✅ Purple in color
✅ Spawn randomly in The Tombs
✅ Move to different locations when shot

How to Break the Lanterns

1. Find a glowing Aetheric Lantern in The Tombs.
2. Shoot the lantern to break it, causing another one to spawn elsewhere.
3. Repeat the process until a lantern appears opposite the bull painting on the northeast side of The Tombs.
4. Once the lantern is in place, the first set of symbols will appear on the bull painting.

Step 2: Shooting Symbols in Ascending Order (The Tombs)

Once the symbols are revealed, you must shoot them in the correct ascending order to continue the Easter Egg. The symbols resemble Roman numerals, so it’s crucial to hit them in the right sequence.

What Happens Next?

✅ A lockdown sequence will start, where waves of zombies and creatures emerge from portals.
✅ Defeat all waves to proceed.
✅ After the fight, the first part of the Staff of Ice will spawn at the bull painting for you to collect.

Step 3: Breaking Aetheric Lanterns in the Neolithic Catacombs

Now that you’ve completed the first set of symbols, you need to repeat the lantern process in a new location—the Neolithic Catacombs.

How to Break the Lanterns in the Neolithic Catacombs

1. Search for glowing Aetheric Lanterns in the Neolithic Catacombs.
2. Shoot the lanterns until one spawns opposite the Crafting Bench in the area.
3. Once the lantern is placed, the second set of symbols will appear on a painting of a man nearby.

Step 4: Shooting Symbols in Ascending Order (Neolithic Catacombs)

This time, the puzzle has ten symbols, still resembling Roman numerals. However, distinguishing nine (IX) and ten (X) can be tricky, so aim carefully.
