Embark on Palia’s hidden discovery adventure: the Elemental Key Quest, also known as Lock & Key. This journey leads you through a chain of four chests hidden in the Elderwood’s Shipwreck Cave, each opening with a special elemental key. Here’s a full step-by-step guide:

1. Unlocking the Quest: Finding the Water Key 🌊

The quest is triggered randomly when you discover the Water Key, which can only be obtained by catching a frog—specifically the green Grumpy Granite Rockhopper—in Elderwood areas like Mitana Grove, Mauvais Way swamps, and Falling Aqueduct ponds.

How to catch it:

• Equip your Makeshift Belt.

• Craft or purchase Standard Smoke Bombs (Clay + Sundrop Lily or Zeki’s store).

• Toss bombs at a stationary frog until it’s dazed, then catch it.

• If it drops the Water Key, the Elemental Key Quest will automatically begin.

2. Water Chest: Elemental Riddle #1

Head into Shipwreck Cave (grid D-8) and descend the slope. Look for a chest marked with a blue water symbol nestled in a bottom alcove. Open it with the Water Key to receive the Earth Key and the next riddle.

3. Earth Chest: Elemental Riddle #2

Follow the path up the slope past the Prismbeard statue. At the top, locate the chest adorned with a leaf (earth) symbol. Unlock it using the Earth Key to collect the Fire Key.

4. Fire Chest: Elemental Riddle #3

Continue up toward the Secret Cave entrance. You’ll find the chest under a torch beside the door, marked by a flame icon. Use the Fire Key to open it and receive the Air Key.

5. Air Chest: Final Unlock & Quest Completion

Adjacent to the Fire Chest, slip through a rocky crevice to the right. You’ll spot the final chest with an air symbol above it. Use the Air Key to open it and finish the quest—earning a mysterious message from Prismbeard.

6. Quest Tips & Mechanics

• All four chests are inside the same Hidden Cave; after the Water chest, follow the path uphill.

• Your active quest log and riddles can be reviewed anytime in your Quest Pouch.

• Since the Water Key drops randomly, patience is essential—keep catching frogs in those zones.
