Before setting out, try to collect Adrenaline Shots or stamina-boosting items along the way. The southern marshland requires many bursts of sprinting, and fatigue can leave you vulnerable to ARC drones or Raiders.

2. Locate the Outpost

• Faded plating

• A round, dome-like construction at the top

3. Enter the Interior

Once inside the outpost, scan both sides of the room until you find a bedroll laid out near the wall. The journal is placed directly on top of it.

Northern Outpost Overlooking the Red Lakes – Second Journal Location

The second journal is hidden in a much more remote area: the Northern Outpost overlooking the Red Lakes. Confusingly, the Dam Battlegrounds map labels this structure as Raider Outpost East, even though its in-game narrative name references the north. Because of this, many players walk past it without realizing it’s the correct building.

1. Finding the Area

If you spawn in the southern or central regions of the map, the fastest route is to follow the outer edges of the terrain, keeping the cliffs on your right side. Continue moving north until the landscape begins to rise.

You’ll know you’re close when you see:

• A tall cliff

• A structure perched above the Red Lakes

• Rocky pathways winding upward

2. Climb to the Outpost

Use one of the rocky side paths to ascend carefully. The elevated position here is beautiful but dangerous—players often snipe from the high ground, especially in active lobbies.

Once inside the Raider Outpost East building, you’ll see a layout similar to the South Swamp structure. Again, look for a bedroll inside the room. The second journal rests on top of it.

After grabbing both journals, your priority becomes safe extraction. You’re carrying two high-value items, and dying now means losing both. Choose an extraction route that avoids open valleys or high-raider-traffic zones.

Once you extract and return to Speranza, visit Celeste through her trader tab to receive:

• 1x Magnetic Acceleration

• 1x Exodus Modules

• 3x Heavy Gun Parts
