Quest Overview – What The Major’s Footlocker Requires

Tian Wen has received a lead on her mother’s commanding officer, Major Aiva. Rumor says her belongings survived the collapse and were hidden inside a residential complex in the Dam. Your mission:

1. Deploy to Dam Battlegrounds

2. Find Aiva’s Mementos inside the Ruby Residence

3. Extract safely with the item

4. Return to Tian Wen to unlock the Hullcracker blueprint

This quest is simple in structure, but the location is heavily contested by Raiders and ARC units, so going in prepared is crucial.

Where to Begin: Dam Battlegrounds Map

Once you deploy into Dam Battlegrounds, head toward the northwest corner of the map. This is where the large residential quadrant known as Ruby Residence is located.

Important Tip:

Ruby Residence is one of the most PvP-active zones in Dam Battlegrounds. Many players farm the area for high-tier loot, and the residential layout creates a lot of ambush opportunities.

Use a normal loadout—not a free one—because you’ll need your Safe Pocket.

Step 1: Finding the Ruby Residence Complex

Ruby Residence is easy to identify:

• The buildings are primarily red, matching their name

• It consists of multi-story apartment blocks

• Hostile Raiders frequently camp inside for loot and defensive positioning

From the outside, look for the tallest red residential building—this is where Aiva’s Mementos are stored.

Step 2: Enter the Building and Reach the Third Floor

Once you step inside Ruby Residence, prepare for:

• Ticks hiding inside doorways

• Turrets stationed in some hallways

• Other Raiders clearing rooms or camping

Move cautiously through the stairwell or central hallway until reaching the third floor.

Navigation Tip

Follow the rooms that open into larger suite-style apartments. Aiva’s mementos are stored in one of these units.

Step 3: Locate the Apartment With Aiva’s Mementos

Inside the third-floor apartment:

1. Walk past the large living room with panoramic-style windows

2. Move into the connected kitchen/lounge area (tables, chairs, and a couch)

3. Turn left into the attached bedroom

Here, you’ll find a desk near the window with a small container sitting on top.

This container holds:

✔ Aiva’s Mementos

Interact with it to retrieve the item.

Step 4: Store the Mementos in Your Safe Pocket

Once you pick up Aiva’s Mementos, store them immediately in your Safe Pocket.

If you die before extraction:

• The item drops on the ground

• Any Raider can take it

• You’ll have to restart the entire quest

So make sure you protect it.

Step 5: Extract Safely From Dam Battlegrounds

Now that you have the mementos, find the nearest extraction elevator. Ruby Residence is luckily not far from several extraction points scattered around the Dam.

Avoid open areas where snipers camp, and stick to indoor routes whenever possible to reduce risk.

Once you extract, return to Tian Wen in Speranza.

Hullcracker Blueprint – What You Unlock

The reward for completing this quest is the Hullcracker, a high-penetration explosive weapon that is devastating against heavy ARC targets.

Hullcracker Strengths:

• Fires explosive projectiles

• Extremely high ARC armor penetration

• Exceptional against:

  • Leapers

  • Rocketeers

  • Heavy ARC tanks

  • Even the ARC Queen

This weapon fills an important niche for squads that need reliable options against fortified ARC units.

How to Craft the Hullcracker

Before crafting the Hullcracker, you must upgrade your Gunsmith Station to Level 3.

Hullcracker Crafting Requirements:

• 1× Magnetic Accelerator

• 1× Exodus Module

• 3× Heavy Gun Parts

These materials are mid-to-high tier components usually found in higher-value areas or from dismantling rare drops.

If you don’t have these components yet, consider farming:

• Research & Administration

• Dam Control Tower

• High-tier Spaceport rooms

• Deep interior Stella Montis zones
