Operation Ember Strike (Mission 8) drops you into SSgt Simone “Gecko” Espina’s boots with one job: cripple Pax Armata’s air grid. Along the route are four Dog Tags that count toward the Campaign – Operation Ember Strike challenge (reward: Gridlock NATO character skin) and help finish Mission Complete 3 (reward: Standard Issue Pax Armata character). This walkthrough shows exact spots, nearby landmarks, and safe routes so you can scoop everything in a single run.

Pickup reminder: press E (PC), X (Xbox), Square (PlayStation). Tags emit a faint glint, making them easier to spot in low light.

Before You Start: Quick Tips for a One-Pass Collectible Sweep

Battlefield 6 - All “Operation Ember Strike” Collectibles

    • Do the drone work. The mission introduces a recon/drone phase—use it to clear patrols and reduce chaos while you’re hunting tags.

    • Tag after set-pieces. Two collectibles sit right after large encounters (sniper hill and dam approach). Finish the fight, then search.

    • Difficulty doesn’t matter. Collectibles count on any difficulty; run Recruit for painless cleanup.

    • Checkpoint safety. If you miss a tag, reload the previous checkpoint rather than finishing the next objective (some areas become locked).

Dog Tag #1 — Ruined Homes by the First Vehicle Segment

Name on tag: Maruf Khorr (Pax Armata Infantry – 22 AUG 99)

Where: The cluster of three collapsed houses right after you finish the tutorial drone sweep and hop in the vehicle.

    How to find it fast:

    1. After the initial spot/clear segment, drive until you reach a triad of broken buildings.

    2. Dismount and head to the easternmost house (check your compass; it’s on the right if you approached from the road bend).

    3. Inside, look toward the blown-out window. The tag rests on debris by the frame, shimmering in the dust.

Safety tip: Clear the outer patrol with your rifle from the truck hood before you step inside—AI loves to flank from the road.

Dog Tag #2 — Datalink Bravo Approach (Three Roof Colors)

Name on tag: Sorbon Vokhidov (Pax Armata Infantry – 06 SEP 02)

Objective cue: “Take out Datalink (Disable the SAM Network)” — moving toward Datalink Bravo.

Landmark trick: About 200 meters from Bravo, you’ll spot three small houses clustered together with distinct roof colors: one black, one red, and a shorter utility building in between.

    Steps:

    1. Stop roughly 200 m out to avoid activating the closer patrol.

    2. Push up along the low wall on the right side until those three rooftops line up.

    3. Enter the middle, short building between black and red roofs.

    4. The Dog Tag sits on stacked boxes just inside, left of the doorway.

Stealth route: Climb the rock on the right and drop behind the utility building; you can grab the tag before engaging.

Dog Tag #3 — Sniper’s Nest After the Reinforcement Ambush

Name on tag: Sonia Lima (Pax Armata Special Operations – 25 APR 92)

Objective cues: You’ll hit a sniper encounter; later the prompt changes to “Take out the incoming reinforcements (Disable the SAM Network)” where you use the Switchblade a second time to ruin two helicopters and multiple armored vehicles.

When to search: As soon as you’ve destroyed the reinforcements, do not follow the main path forward yet.

    Steps:

    1. From the ambush site, turn left off the road and climb the grassy hillside toward the earlier sniper overwatch position.

    2. Look for a makeshift blind/sandbagged ledge the sniper used to tag you earlier.

    3. The Dog Tag is placed on the ground near their spent casings and pack.

Pro tip: If you go too far down the main route, you may trigger dialogue that pulls you away from the hill. Grab this one immediately after the Switchblade strike.

Dog Tag #4 — Dam Slope, Vehicle Cluster

Name on tag: Sidi Konate (Pax Armata Infantry – 02 OCT 03)

Objective cue: After a short cutscene by the dam, you’ll see “Reach the top of the dam (Take Out Mobile AAAs)”.

Landmark: At the base of the climb, your squad points out a line of parked vehicles—quads/jeeps beside supply boxes.

    Steps:

    1. Begin the uphill push with your squad until those vehicles come into view on your left.

    2. Walk behind the first cluster (between the tailgates and concrete barrier).

    3. The tag sits on a wooden crate tucked behind the vehicles.

Combat tip: Pop smoke on the slope and clear the left ridge before looting—AT troops love to peek this lane.

    Rewards Recap & Progress Tracking

    • Campaign – Operation Ember Strike (All Dog Tags): Gridlock (NATO Character Skin)

    • Mission Complete 3: Standard Issue (Pax Armata Character)

    Clean Route Summary (Speedrun Collectibles)

    2. Push to Datalink Bravothree roof colorsTag #2 (middle utility building boxes).
