🎯 Quest Overview

Precious Cargo is a side quest in Dying Light: The Beast. You’ll help Keller recover a lost ammo container that sank in an aqueduct after being ambushed by raiders. The challenge includes diving, locating switchgear, powering a crane, and making a tough moral decision near the end.
🗺 How to Start the Quest
-
Head to the map marker in Old Town and speak with Keller.
-
He explains that the survivors were forced to abandon the ammo crate when raiders struck.
-
He asks you to recover it now that power might be restored in the area.
✅ Walkthrough Steps
Locating the Container & Choosing the Crane
-
Use Survivor Sense while walking along the aqueduct walkway to highlight the submerged container.
-
Dive and approach the container; once you return to the surface, the objective updates.
-
You’ll see three cranes around the area. One has a magnet attachment — that’s the correct crane to use, but it currently has no power.
Finding the Electrical Switchgear
-
Head into the nearby warehouse. You’ll enter via a climbing route or vent.
-
Inside, navigate through rooms and vents to reach a locked internal area.
-
Use scaffolding and vent pathways to reach the room with Electrical Switchgear.
-
Interact with it to grab a wire.
Restoring Power to the Crane
-
Exit through a gate that opens via a cutscene; the distraction helps you avoid infected.
-
Climb up through shelves, ladders, or warehouse interior paths to reach the crane roof.
-
From there, connect the wire you grabbed to the crane’s terminal. The crane powers on.
Retrieving the Container & Ambush
-
Interact with the crane controls to lift the container from underwater.
-
Just as you try to open it, the Ringleader and raiders ambush you.
-
He demands a 50/50 split. You get two choices:
-
Refuse — keep all ammo and loot yourself.
-
Give 25% — comply partially, retain most, and still get key rewards.
-
Tip: Giving up 25% tends to yield easier rewards and avoids extra conflict — but refusing maintains full loot for high-rollers.
Return to Keller
-
After resolving the ambush (depending on choice), report back to Keller.
-
The quest technically ends after he contacts you via radio, concluding the story thread.
-
Your rewards include XP, Manual Pages, and a co-op loot box if played in multiplayer.
🛠 Tips & Decision Advice
-
Evaluate your inventory space before choosing whether to share loot.
-
Fight or flight? If you’re underpowered, giving a small portion can avoid enemy spawns or tougher fights.
-
Make sure you grab key items first — don’t rush to open the container before restoring power.
-
Use traps or terrain when the ambush begins: the environment can help you avoid direct confrontation.
🌟 Extra Option
If diving into vents, hunting wires, and memorizing paths sounds like too much after playing for hours, you can opt to let Dying Light: The Beast Boosting at GladiatorBoost handle the entire Precious Cargo quest — from navigation to ending choice — letting you skip the grind and still collect all rewards.
