Fortnite’s Lawless update has brought a wave of criminal mayhem to Chapter 6 Season 2, allowing players to break into vaults, hijack Armored Transports, and secure high-tier loot. While vaults are often crowded with enemy players, Armored Transports offer an alternative way to grab Mythic weapons with less competition—if you know where to find them.

In this guide, we’ll cover how to locate Armored Transports, defeat their guards, and loot their vaults for Mythic weapons.

Where to Find the Armored Transport in Fortnite

Unlike standard vehicles, Armored Transports don’t spawn at the start of the match. Instead, they appear after the second storm circle begins to close.

🔹 Just west of Magic Mosses
🔹 Shining Span
🔹 West of Shiny Shafts

Once they spawn, all three Armored Transport locations will be marked on the map. Additionally, the closest one to you will also appear on your HUD, making it easy to track down.

If you want to get to an Armored Transport first, land near one of its spawn areas and prepare weapons, shields, and Thermite before engaging.

How to Loot the Armored Transport in Fortnite

Hijacking an Armored Transport is no easy feat, as they are heavily guarded. Here’s how to take them down and access the loot inside.

Step 1: Eliminate the Guards

Each Armored Transport is protected by multiple NPC guards:
✅ Two guards inside the transport (driver & passenger).
✅ One additional guard following behind in a second vehicle.

🔹 Best Strategy:

• Use long-range weapons to take out the escort guard first.
• Destroy the vehicle tires to slow down the transport.
• Once the driver and passenger are eliminated, the transport will stop moving, allowing you to loot it safely.

Step 2: Unlock the Vault with Thermite

Once all guards are eliminated, head to the back of the Armored Transport to access its vault. To do this, you need 1 Thermite, which can be found near vault locations or in high-tier loot areas.

Using Thermite on the vault door will trigger a progress bar, indicating that the door is melting. However, this also summons four waves of additional guards, so be prepared for another fight.

Step 3: Claim Your Loot

After surviving the waves of NPC enemies, the vault will open, revealing Epic-tier weapons, healing items, Gold Bars, and a guaranteed Mythic weapon.

All Mythic Weapons from Armored Transports

Every Armored Transport loot vault will contain one random Enhanced Mythic weapon. These weapons are significantly stronger than their standard versions, making them a must-have for high-level play.

If you’re playing Zero Build mode, the Twinfire Auto Shotgun is an excellent close-quarters weapon for rushing enemies, while the Striker Burst Rifle is perfect for controlling long-range fights.

Tips for Securing an Armored Transport Safely

✔️ Arrive Early – Get to an Armored Transport location before it spawns and set up an ambush.
✔️ Use Explosives – Grenades and Rocket Launchers can clear out guards quickly.
✔️ Fight in Teams – If playing Duos, Trios, or Squads, assign one player to loot while others cover fire.
✔️ Rotate Fast – Other players may try to steal the loot, so escape quickly after securing the Mythic weapon.
