• Vitalized Dragontooth is a weapon ascension material used to upgrade the Dragonspine Spear.

• It’s produced by “vitalizing” something called a Strange Tooth at a special location called the Core of Dragonspine.

• It’s also tied to the Festering Fang world quest — you must complete that quest to unlock access to the Core.

🗺 How To Obtain Vitalized Dragontooth

1. Complete the “Festering Fang” world quest.

   • That quest unlocks the Core of Dragonspine, which is needed to vitalize the Strange Tooth.

2. Collect Strange Teeth scattered across Dragonspine.

   • These are found in several locations: some are on dragon bone protrusions in the environment, some are guarded by enemies like Frostarm Lawachurls or Fatui Skirmishers.

   • One Strange Tooth is behind a forcefield protected by a Frostarm Lawachurl; defeat the Lawachurl to break the forcefield.

3. Bring one Strange Tooth to the Core of Dragonspine.

   • The Core is a special forge/crafting point inside Dragonspine that becomes usable after Festering Fang.

   • At the Core, you trade one Strange Tooth to create a Vitalized Dragontooth.

🕒 Respawn & Farming Info

• Once a Strange Tooth is used / taken, it doesn’t instantly respawn. The world refresh for these items seems to happen roughly every 72 hours (about 3 days).

• Because of that cooldown, you can’t farm all the Vitalized Dragontooths at once — you’ll need to cycle through multiple worlds or wait for respawns in your own.

⚙ Uses & Why It’s Important

• Weapon Ascension: You need a certain number of Vitalized Dragontooth to upgrade the Dragonspine Spear.

• Festering Fang Quest: The item is required to complete the quest, which also gives you rewards and unlocks parts of Dragonspine lore.

• Spear Effect: The Dragonspine Spear you ascend using Vitalized Dragontooth gets an effect where, on certain attacks, an “Everfrost Icicle” can form and drop, dealing area damage. Bonus damage if the target is Cryo.
